Cara Boyd Connors' journey from Memphis, Tennessee, to becoming a circuit court judge in Pulaski County, Arkansas, is a testament to her dedication, hard work, and commitment to the legal profession and her community. Starting her college career at Hendrix College with a major in Politics laid the groundwork for her deep understanding of the law and its societal impacts. Her subsequent legal education at the William H. Bowen School of Law at UALR equipped her with the necessary tools to embark on a distinguished career in law, licensed to practice in both Tennessee and Arkansas.

Cara's legal journey began with a role as a hearing examiner for the Arkansas Appeals Tribunal, providing her with initial exposure to the intricacies of legal adjudications and appeals. Her transition to a deputy prosecuting attorney in Pulaski County further honed her skills, as she navigated the challenges of trying jury trials involving a wide range of offenses, from property crimes to violent offenses and robberies. This experience not only solidified her litigation skills but also underscored her commitment to justice and community safety.

Her tenure as a revocation hearing judge for the Arkansas Parole Board since 2013 showcased her adaptability and expertise within the parole system, further diversifying her legal experience. Since 2016, Cara has demonstrated her versatility and commitment to her clients in private practice, litigating criminal defense cases across state and federal courts in Arkansas, alongside handling domestic relations and personal injury matters. This broad spectrum of legal work underscores her comprehensive understanding of the law and her dedication to serving her clients with integrity and expertise.

Her roles as a Commissioner on the Pulaski County Land and Planning Commission and the Little Rock Civil Service Commission reflect her dedication to public service and her community. Additionally, her involvement with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the Girl Scouts of America, Jack and Jill of America, and the W.
